Coach Bio – Kofi Wiafe

Coach Kofi Wiafe brings a lifetime of passion and experience to the hardwood. A lifelong basketball player and multi-sport athlete, he placed 3rd in the provincial 100-meter dash and has competed at a high level in basketball. Over the years, he has coached community basketball extensively, blending his corporate leadership skills with his love for mentoring youth athletes.

Kofi’s coaching journey is defined by building culture, discipline, and teamwork. He led his junior high team to its first Division 1 championship, a testament to his ability to inspire and develop players both individually and collectively. Whether in the corporate world or on the court, Kofi thrives on empowering others to reach their potential, instilling values of resilience, unity, and pride.

Are You Committed?

Being a part of a sports team is a commitment, both for parents as well as the student athlete. What does commitment look like at ACA?
We love athletics at ACA and we want to build champions on and off the court. 
PARENTS
  • Driving your athlete or arranging rides to arrive on time for practices and games and picking them up at the end of each practice or tournament.
  • Paying the fee in full and purchasing the team shorts and proper footwear for the season.
  • Partnering with the school to ensure that your athlete puts school first and athletics second. All athletes must maintain a minimum 65% grade in their classes in order to play in games (athletes may still practice however will be "benched" until their grades have improved).
  • Cheering in a positive and encouraging manner. Allowing the coach to coach, the ref to ref and the kids to play the sport they love.
  • Communicating with the coach or athletic director in a respectful and timely manner.
​STUDENTS
  • Committing to the ENTIRE SEASON of play! Once on a team, it is up to you to be a reliable teammate for the entire season, beginning to end.
  • Arriving on time and dressed ready to learn and participate with a good attitude.
  • Upholding the student pledge.
  • Maintaining 65% or higher throughout the entire season.
  • Communicating with your coach at all times.
  • Realizing that a starting spot is earned and not given. Practice hard and gain knowledge to earn and keep your spot.
