Our Why
|
At ACA, we take pride in our leadership in promoting healthy technology habits. For several years, our no-cell phone policy has set a positive example, focusing on minimizing distractions and enhancing student engagement. This approach is now being adopted across the province and much of North America.
Building on this success, we are excited to take the next step in creating a focused learning environment for our grade 7-9 students. After careful consultation with stakeholders and ongoing research into educational best practices, we plan to remove personal devices from the classroom entirely. In their place, we will introduce a school-monitored Chrome cart, ensuring that technology use is both safe and effective. Our goal for this year is to fund one shared Chrome cart, with the long-term vision of equipping each Jr. High classroom with its own cart.
Ideally we would like to have this in place for the first week of school (Sept. 2)! To achieve this, we are aiming to raise $7,500. |
